The Shawl Ministry is a prayerful ministry in which shawls are created to celebrate a happy event or as a comfort for someone enduring a difficult time in their life. As a shawl is created, the recipient and their situation are kept in mind, with every stitch, a prayer. The end-result serves as warm reminder that the recipient is wrapped in God’s love and care.
How to be involved…If you are a knitter or crocheter, come join us! Call the church office for current meeting times.
If you have yarn sitting around at home whose purpose has been forgotten, donations of worsted weight yarn are gratefully accepted.
If you have unused JoAnn’s and Michael’s store coupons, put them in the Shawl Ministry envelope located on the Opportunity Wall in the narthex.
Contact the church office if you know of someone you would like to give a shawl to, we may have shawls already made for you to give, or you may like to personalize the shawl that will be made by choosing the yarn and pattern with our assistance. Just email us at or call the church office at 734-429-4730
