What to Expect

You will discover a warm group of real people dedicated to following our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. From the moment you walk up to the building you can expect…

A heartfelt greeting is part of what makes a church a church. Sunday morning greeters make all who enter our doors feel welcome. They can direct you to the sanctuary or the Welcome Center where there is information regarding Sunday School for all ages. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have. If the greeter doesn’t know the answer, he or she will certainly know where to find it. Our greeters are there to help you get settled and comfortable.

Please join us for coffee and fellowship in the CLC following our 9 am worship service.  If you prefer our casual contempoary service at 10:30 am, come a little early!

God’s house does not have a dress code. Worshipers wear everything from khakis to dresses or suits during the traditional services. The contemporary service provides a “come as you are” casual atmosphere for worship. Feel free to wear clothing that makes you feel comfortable.

Expect to be noticed. Expect people to say something like, “Hi, we haven’t met before, is this your first time?”. Expect for people to reach out to you in love.

An usher will greet you as you enter the sanctuary.  You may have a seat on the main floor or in the balcony.  You will hear an announcement about our Welcome Center and an invitation to receive a special gift for first-time visitors.  We invite you to take that invitation seriously and stop by to pick up your gift.

Both of our worship services last about one hour.  Our 9 am worship service is in our Sanctuary and is also live streamed on our website.  This service features traditional hymn favorites and occasional praise songs.  Special music may be provided by our choir or, from time to time, our bell choir.  Our 10:30 worship service in Christler Hall is designed with families in mind.  It has a casual atmosphere with a variety of music including contemporary Christian songs.  Following the children's message, children and students can be dismissed from worship to attend Cross Training, Confirmation, or Student Christian Education.  Please contact the church office at (734) 429-4730 if you have any questions.

Have questions? Need information? The Welcome Center is located just outside the sanctuary doors and is a great resource for our members and guests alike. Staffed by a friendly and knowledgeable church member, this is the place to find brochures about Methodism or information about church programs and activities.

Our main parking lot is at the back of the building off Woodland Drive.  A limited number of handicap parking spaces are located near the main entrance. You are welcome to drop off passengers under the portico especially during inclement weather.
