We believe the seeds of faith planted in our children will grow into mature faith. (Proverbs 22:6) It is our goal as a church to plant those seeds of faith. Children’s Ministry programs are from birth through grade 6.
CROSS TRAINING
Cross Training is our Sunday School Christian Education at 10:15 am Sundays. Children aged 4 through grade 4 meet in the Education Wing. Grades 5-6 meet in The Den. The Cross Training curriculum is designed to give children a foundation in Biblical literacy and real-life faith application in an age appropriate and FUN lesson! Our teachers are trained, called, and passionate about children. Please register your child (children) at the link listed below.
Nursery Care is available for infants through age 3 during the Christian Education hour Sunday mornings. Ages 2-3 will be taken from the nursery to the Sunday School opening with the younger classes for music and Bible story. The nursery is located in the Education Wing, room J.

DEN 56
Den 56 is our youth group for all students in grades 5 and 6. This unique age has special privileges and events, including The Den! This student center is complete with TV, couches, games, and air hockey. The Den is located in the lower level beneath the choir room. (Click HERE to view floor plan.)
Den 56 Night is a monthly youth group program with pizza, games, activities, and a devotion. This year, we overlap with the Underground to build relationships and mentors. And we have a new day and time- Sundays 4-6pm.
Parents are asked to chaperone once a school year. Den 56 also participates in youth trips and retreats.

After School Adventures
Sometimes we need a reminder midweek that God is with us. Children in grades 4-8 will get that reminder at our after-school program on Wednesdays from 3 – 5:30 pm. And it’s sure to be a lot of fun with friends and games! Pick-up is provided from Saline Middle School and Heritage School.
The program is FREE, but participants must be registered. An after-school snack will be provided.
FAMILY MINISTRIES
Family Ministry is integrated into all we do at FUMC Saline! The foundation of faith is first and foremost from the family unit. The number one influence on faith is the family. It is our goal as a church to partner with the families to plant the seeds of faith and equip parents to nurture them. Family Ministry accomplishes this goal through programs, resources, classes, and caring support.
Our Parents page provides resources for parents to use in passing on and nurturing faith. It also includes registration information for Christian Education classes and events. You will find all the information you need to engage in your child's faith journey.
Children in Worship
We love children being in our worship services. Their movement and noise is a blessing to us! During worship services, we offer several options for families.
INFANT to AGE 3 - NURSERY Our nursery is run by trained, caring staff, in accordance to our Safe Sanctuaries policy, to provide childcare with a Christian heart. The Nursery is located in the Education Wing, Room J. Pagers are given to parents in the event their presence is needed.
AGES 3 TO 5 - PRAYGROUND The praygound is a play center located in the sanctuary that allows children to experience worship in an age appropriate, hands on, and active manner.
AGE 6+ - ACTIVITY BAGS Make your own activity bags supplies are located in the foyer. Elementary age children are encouraged to take a bag to their seats and work through them during worship.
ALL AGES - OASIS ROOM This quiet, peaceful room is a safe place for all ages to watch and hear worship from a separate space. Ideal for a sensory break, cry room, or nursing.
