We believe the seeds of faith planted in our children will grow into mature faith. (Proverbs 22:6) It is our goal as a church to plant those seeds of faith. Children’s Ministry programs are from birth through grade 6.
The Den
The Den is for children in grades 3, 4, and 5. This unique age gathers together on the second Sunday of the month from 4:00 to 5:30pm for games, activities, devotions, and opportunities to help them get to know and use their Bible. The Den is located in the lower level beneath the choir room. (Click HERE to view the floor plan.)
After School Adventures
Our Wednesday after school program for grades 4-8 is the perfect midweek boost with friends! Highlights include games, seasonal STEAM projects, and faith devotions. Homework help for middle schoolers, transportation, and snacks are provided at no cost. Pick-up is provided from Saline Middle School and Heritage School. Parent pick-up will be at 5:30 pm.
The program is FREE, but participants must be registered with the online registration form.
FAMILY MINISTRY
Family Ministry is integrated into all we do at FUMC Saline! The foundation of faith is first and foremost from the family unit. The number one influence on faith is the family. It is our goal as a church to partner with families to plant the seeds of faith and equip parents to nurture them. Family Ministry accomplishes this goal through programs, resources, classes, and caring support.
Our Parents page provides resources for parents to use in passing on and nurturing faith. It also includes registration information for Christian Education classes and events. You will find all the information you need to engage in your child's faith journey.
Children in Worship
We love children being in our worship services. Their movement and noise is a blessing to us! During worship services, we offer several options for families.
NURSERY Our nursery is for infants through age 3. It is run by trained, caring staff, in accordance to our Safer Sanctuaries policy, to provide childcare with a Christian heart. The Nursery is located in the Education Wing, Room J.
GRACE SPACE The grace space is a play center located in the sanctuary that allows children to experience worship while engaging in a quiet, age appropriate, hands on, and active manner.
ACTIVITY BAGS Make your own activity bags with supplies located in the sanctuary. Children are encouraged to choose 5 items, put them in a bag to take to their seats, and engage with them during worship.
OASIS ROOM This quiet, peaceful room is a safe place for all ages to watch and hear worship from a separate space. Ideal for a sensory break, cry room, or nursing.
